A long time ago I went to a Greek haircutter in Astoria, Queens, USA. I asked him if he was proud to come from the culture that produced Aristotle and Plato. He said ‘not the same Greeks’. Not sure what he meant by that. Then he said, “The Greek way is if one opens a barber shop on one corner, another does on the other corner, and the other corner to that, and eventually you have four barber shops and four starving barbers.”
