And we must remember Russia IS the aggressor here and Ukraine continues to prove it is the better defender against a larger foe. The whole Ukrainians Spring counteroffensive has distracted from that truth. I expected Ukraine to split the land bring. But I also expected that it would make no difference. So I feel we're at where I expected.
Russia can't survive without a strong military. The change in hands of Nagorno-Karabakh is one big canary in the coal mine. Ukraine never needed a big military. I don't believe it will be the F-16s that'll make a difference next year, it will be the new weapons developed and perfected by Ukraine's best and brightest.
I also believe Ukraine's general report is meant to give the illusion Ukraine is struggling and losing support. From early on I've believed Ukraine plays a mean "rope a dope." It's what I would do.
Patience will win it for Ukraine. Play Putin's favorite sport, Judo, use your opponents energy against him. That will be the sweet revenge of Ukraine.
