As a half-Jew I am 99% certain that I have read more of the Torah and Jewish History than 99% of American Jews from their mother's bloodline. Jewishness for me is recognizing one God and recognizing you will never "arrive at any comprehension of the matter"! I must be a poor reader because I never came across the Mother's blood line part. As far as I know, becoming Jewish is voluntary! Whatever the religion, those who brag about theirs are always the worst and those who feel unworthy always the best.

I don't feel English, Irish, Scottish people have ever been particularly anti-other person's religion. I suspect it wasn't antisemitism that scuppered Corbyn's chances as much as his not being firmly in the camp of, as some Medium writers say, "White Empire" ;)
