As in every war ever. As the war drags on the political choreography becomes more obvious. What Ukraine REALLLY needs are air assets, like F-16. But Zelensky must play along. So when the time comes he covers for the U.S. by asking what they've already said is what they'll give. But the U.S. has said it is considering F-16s, so Zelensky can allow smaller voices to build a small fire there (but not to big!). Now we hear mostly about money, Bucha and other atrocities are forgotten.
The war will continue for as long as Putin stays in power. But I believe the indecisiveness of the U.S./EU means that other wars will begin in the meantime or shortly after. The global economy continues to crush poor countries and poor people.
