Does communism fix individual greed? I'm in the back but I don't see capitlism as the problem or communism as the solution. Sri Lanka just doesn't have anything those with the oil want to buy. Even if Sri Lanka had communism how would that change anything? Okay, tractors would be first on line for fuel. But as soon as things began to even out people would find a way to game the system. If you really believed in communism you'd share everything you have. But you don't because you're human. And everyone else is too.

I'm sure you have dollars. The Sri Lankan government needs to tax them away from you and everyone else in Sri Lanka who has them (communism) and use them to buy fuel. That's what you're arguing for. I look forward to your story when they do it and we can see the result.

It sounds like you're having a respite from fossil fuel life. Are your kids suffering? They may be having what will become the best time of their life. Cheer up. Cars suck anyway ;)
