Dylan, are you f'ing kidding? Wind, solar and water power will not power ships, industrial equipment, and especially the military (for crying out loud Dylan!).

The problem with green technologies isn't centralization. The problem is they're energy anemic. Power your laptop, sure. Power the equipment that makes it and gets it to you doorstep, NO. A big NO.

There currently exist only 2 paths to handling climate change 1) reduced consumption, everyone lives but with less travel, smaller cars, smaller everything. 2) same consumption but a billion or so will need to go away (starve to death or die from war somewhere else).

I await your rebuttal ;) Explain how you'd give a report at the Pentagon on how the U.S. military can run on solar, wind and hydro.
