Evidence that Apple has become mediocre can be found in "right to repair". Jobs wanted closed system to focus on perfection. Current Apple management wants closed devices to protect their revenues. True innovation looks to the future. It doesn't try to lock up the past. No one at Apple seems to have the power or ability to stop this growing and shameful practice. Business considerations aside, it dumbs down future engineers because they can't tinker with broken apple devices which is an important first step for gaining understanding and confidence.

Apple takes for granted, a future generation of users. Most people who buy Apple products buy grudgingly because they don't feel like learning a new system. There are no lines outside the stores. The new M chips will go the way of all all-in-one systems. I'm not saying anything that isn't in this story.
