EVs are NOT the most efficient vehicles when all costs are factored in. When automobiles came out the first ones WERE electric. Yes, today's EVs are better, but so are ICE cars. EVs still don't make sense for the average worker. I see them in the major cities. Seldom in places where people drive to non white-collar work. I don't see that changing.

Yes, the technology is improving but ICE cars work perfectly fine. The refrigerator didn't replace another type of refrigerator. I don't find it a correct analogy. Sorry.

Anyway, China can supply us with plenty of inexpensive EVs but Biden put a 100% tariff. It's debatable whether or not that's good. I say not.

And finally, the ONLY WAY to reduce global warming is to reduce CO2 emissions and that won't be accomplished with EVs. We MUST reduce consumption. And that means not allowing beasts like the Rivian to be sold, or the F100 Lightning, which burn a lot of fossil fuels in their manufacture and then end up using electricity from fossil fuels in the end. What you real about renewables is a farce. It's insignificant. The data is out there for anyone to study.
