Fabulous story! To continue that thought, what about "help the planet"? Burning man is not possible without burning copious amounts of fossil fuels. NOTHING is produced there but excrement and waste.

I've never gone for the simple reason that many people in the world are desperate to get out of their desert prisons--more so today than ever. I'm no saint, but burning man seems to be flaunting it shamelessly. We're so rich in America we'll re-create the place most people in the world die in, party in it, and then go home.

But I hope you get to keep going. If you enjoy it, if your friends are there, what else is there? Maybe you can start a new festival with your 10 principles. Perhaps I'd go!
