Fine, the West started it. Does that mean Russia should get to occupy and keep Ukraine? You might say, well, everyone in Donbas and Crimea is Russia. Well, that take a serious amount of ignoring historical fact about forced migration, etc.

The question isn't who started it. The question is how to end it. I don't see how to end something if one side keeps shooting at the other and you ignore that fact by saying the ones shot deserve to die because some outside party started it.
