First rate! Learned a lot! Yes, so many similarities today. Lebanon, Venezuela, Iran...all of the 3rd world, etc., all can't get enough dollars. Automation was disrupting society back then as much as it is now. From WWII and Iraq wars American have a romantic, completely outdated view of foreign capabilities. Isolationism did not work during the roaring 20s, unless you're okay with the 50+ million dead cost.

And all the same excuses are present. "There's too much global integration for anyone to go to war." We have more direct lines of communication. No one will go too far because of nukes. Etc. ETc.
