Good point! My main point isn't that it's going to be a free floating currency only that if China, Russia, Iran HAD to trade in only one currency it would be the Yuan. Over time that would move it closer to reserve status. Like you say, still not really close to the dollar upon which all currencies track, whether they like it or not.
