Great detail! I love it! However if NATO wanted Ukraine as you said it does why didn't it fight harder to keep it? Why did the U.S. only send overstock weapons? Why was Germany slow to get into it (as you said)? You imply Russia was under some huge threat but that doesn't seem to have been borne out.

Russia wants the resources. It's what the White Russian Muscovites do in Siberia, etc. You're an expert in resources. I'm a bit stumped that you don't factor that into your analysis.

Further, Russia has already shown what it can do trading its resources for guns. Unless you think they're completely losing the war. Why wouldn't it grab even more after it digested Ukraine? (rather put its oligarchs in charge).
