Great piece Dylan! Kean wasn't addressing the question of whether NATO was a threat. He was addressing Putin's state of mine, his emotional perspective, where "NATO" is a symbol of the disrespect he feels.

You both wrote excellent essays. They complement each other. I don't see how either negates the other.
