HAHA good one. You are now a full citizen!

I'm 60 and grew up on war movies and westerns. Although I have no interest in guns, I'm sure others in my generations bring their kids up on it. One of the funniest movie-bit commentaries is the Indiana Jones movie where he's attacked by an Arab and just when we think he's going to be killed Harrison Ford takes out a gun and shoots his attacker. THAT'S AMERICA. Fight fair? There is no fair.

The gun mindset of America is not homogenous. "High Noon" is really about how most people with guns are cowards--even if the Sherif saves the day with his gun. Or "Bad Day At Blackrock" which is a movie you MUST see one day, if you haven't. That movie is as relavant today, maybe more so, than when it was made.

Or "Deer Hunter" is also a movie that goes into the madness of guns.

But yeah, "Dirty Harry", that's the American way.

I leave you with this clip from the Patton movie. If you haven't seen this, another great view into the American psyche. Patton was famous for his non-military issue pearl handled gun. You can see it in the clip.
