Hamas has what, some RPGs, AK-47s and crude trash-can rockets? What changed on 10/7? Did they introduce some super weapon? Israel walled up Gaza because it understood it could never pacify that many people through military means. Yet somehow that has been forgotten and when someone like me points out these basic accepted facts before 10/7 we're supposed to join some emotional crowd who no longer thinks straight? You have to give me more facts about what is different about Hamas' threat today than before? I've decried Hamas. But I have for as long as it has existed. Will they release the hostage or not? I have no idea. But I do know they have the hostages because Israel screwed up and if Israel can't act rationally then it will suffer the same fate all emotional people enjoy who forget there are good reasons for why things were the way they were.
