Hi Jack, great comments. You're right about my comment about "as an American". I just wanted to make the point that the U.S. isn't a perfect friend. I love pointing people to the USS Liberty incident, re Israel. In that case the U.S. was playing both sides, Israel shrewdly called BS and despite the loss of lives the U.S. and Israel became great friends after. I believe the same has happened in Ukraine. But lots going on, as you point out!
