Hi Ravi. If all you want to buy is Russian wheat and gas then yes, the Ruble is fine. When you need to replace the fuel sensor of your Mercedes the Ruble won't be so fine. Currently, Ukraine is setting up pockets for its artillery to create a living hell for Russian supply lines in Kupiansk. What Russian's goals are at this point, I have no idea.

Let's check back here in a few months to talk about Russian gains.

I'm sure much of the Russian military is professional, but you won't look at the truth that much of it isn't with all the horrors that entails. You're absolutely right, I'm no expert and no one cares what I think. I am merely a commentator. I don't watch the media you think I watch.

I've been following military stuff for a while now. Even if Russia isn't moved off the territory it controls, or even if it took all of Ukraine, then what? What future does Russia have when the rest of the world trades new technologies and Russians go back to driving Ladas?

Russia is a great country. I truly mean that. But it is run by a guy who let power go to his head. Russian will one day wonder, like Germans, how they lost sight of their humanity.

All media is biased. The only difference between a Russian and me is I can legally watch anything and they can't. They can't even say the word "war". All this has historical precedent.

How do you see things playing out? What is the future of Russia? What are the objectives of Russia and how will they be met and then what?
