How is this a "few companies" problem? Why are there monopolies in the first place? People are gluttons and they're lazy. There's nothing new with this "new" AI. All technology that's existed for a decades.

The problem is US. US, US, US, US. We won't let ourselves be regulated about what we can consume as entertainment and what we can consume in an effort to be factual. Blaming future problems on this AI hype on big companies is just another rationalization to allow us to pig out on whatever crap amuses us while our government solves a problem that can't be solved through anti-monopoly laws.
