"Humanity" already had a big climate change event "The Flood" some 10,000+ years ago. They didn't write afterwards about how to they could have prevented it (prevent so many people living along the water). Instead, they mythologized those who prepared for afterwards, "The Ark" and how one should feel good about themselves, that God chose them to survive.

Why will this time be different? I don't see that it will. Climate change is coming. Billions will die. The survivors will write their mythology. The heroes will be those who did things to save their half-dozen people, not those who died trying to save millions.

All those movies about climate change, to me, miss the point completely. They make matters worse because they separate people into "good" who believe in it, and those "bad" who don't. Believe or don't believe it, what difference does it make, in the end? Most who believe it go out and buy Teslas and say they do their part. Or they install solar on their 4,000 sq foot house. Or they fly around the world (burning fossil fuels) lecturing on it.

The movies after WWII, (post atomic bombs) like "Day The Earth Stood Still" and ESPECIALLY, "The 27th Day" They address the root problem.

It isn't about CO2. It's about everyone staying home and move more slowly on the planet. We couldn't do it facing Covid-19, why will we do it because of global warming?
