I agree about the oil. The problem as I see it is gas. It is difficult to replace for Germany (it's difficult to store) and any other source than Russia is more expensive (read recession producing). I believe much of Germany's industrial base runs off gas. I'm not sure arguing that it would be cheaper for Germany to invade Russia and take the gas then wait for things to improve. Hm? No would would be that crazy to invade Russia for oil or gas ;)
