I am wildly speculating but I believe it's a very small group of Russians in an irrational state of mind--that is, Putin and his inner circle. So if they were eliminated I worry more about internal war for political control, then Russia looking for revenge with the West. If there is a mostly organized transition from Putin's regime to almost anything else, I believe Russia could settle down. To what?
