I believe Israel is past the point of no return. Even if it pulled out of Gaza and everyone stopped shooting today, Israel, which was already struggling with huge wealth inequality before 10/7, and a worsening economy, will plunge into a depression it will take years to recover from.

The world will expect Israel to rebuild Gaza. To pay reparations to Lebanon. In a sense, that's why Israel continues on. The current efforts do push that day of reckoning farther out. The day when Israel's creditors come calling and the Haredi don't have the jobs or money to pay it ;) Those who could pay, they've already left.
