I believe you're confusing what the West does in the short-attention span of the public/media and what happens in real life, so to speak.

Biden said at the beginning that the sanctions would take some time. But everyone has forgot that. They will.

Sure, everyone would love the sanctions to work today, or the M777s, etc, but that doesn't stop the train if they don't. It's a great feature of liberal democracies that people who want to solve problems take on a life of their own.

For example, I wanted to donate a drone (some mixed feelinga bout it being used in war, anyway). The guys who are doing it don't seem interested. They've moved to making keychains out of shot down Russian fighters in exchange for $1,000 which they use to buy a drone. They have adjusted. That is happening thousands of times over as I write.

In short, I believe you woefully underestimate the resolve of all the various people trying to defeat Putin's regime. Russia was the hare, blitzing into Ukraine. We are the turtles.

As for the USD. I've been hearing about its demise for 40 years. Japan, Inflation, China, etc. Think about what you're saying. Do you really believe anyone wants rubles? That's a complex subject so I'll leave it there.
