I don't get the sense you've actually read "The Bell Curve". It is NOT about blacks. It is about what explains the differences in IQ "curves" between different cohorts.
How is my argument breathtakingly racist when I believe a large percent of blacks should be released from prison while you believe they should be there because of "various factors"?
I can't force you to push aside your intellectual prejudices to get at the subtle parts of my argument. I never said blacks should "accept" Murray's findings because, again, the book isn't about coming to some master conclusion that blacks have inferior IQs.
I don't feel you're trying to understand me. I feel you keep putting my arguments into your framework. We all do that of course.
We can't get anywhere until you take a firm stand on this question--should blacks be released from prison until their proportion in prison matches the general population?
