I don't get this "naysayer" stuff. I followed the development of Falcon. I understand iterative development (since I do it myself). I'm not trying to take away anything from SpaceX.

So you believe, if you set out to achieve a goal, no matter how many different problems you have to solve, you will solve it if you try hard enough? The problem with Starship is it tries to do too much and in my view has too many moving parts (engines).

Further, how many Apollo rockets blew up? Or most rockets. How did we get to the moon we we're so "risk averse"? There are times and places to take chances, and then there aren't.

For example, not having a proper launch pad for Starship basically wasted that first launch. That to me is sheer incompetence. Circle back to that one when you're really close to getting to Mars.

That's not naysaying, that's respect for experience. In the end, I'd love for it to work and you can gloat at will ;)
