I don't see it that way. I agree with you that half the population of the world may not be sanctioning Russia, but I don't see them distancing themselves more and more from the West. Not that they might not want to ;)

The question isn't about quantity but quality. When I say the whole world I mean the world of high-tech, complex business. Business that depend on global supply chain security.

Venesuala didn't become an economic basket case over night. Nor did Iran. Of course, Russia is a larger more risilient level, but the damage will be the same.

These types of large tech corporations have long time frames and deep pockets. Boeing and Airbus survived the 737 MAX then the pandemic. They'll write Russia off in the 2nd quarter and move on.

Parts for automobiles in the next year will easily double. Everything with a chip in it will. Anyway, I think it too early to say my prediction hasn't aged well. It may not!

You're certainly right that my prediction that he wouldn't last weeks was laughably wrong! You got me there!

His speeches are still nutty. Talking at Russia's space institute or whatever. Don't get me started ;)
