The U.S. will not negotiate with Putin where he keeps any territory. Of course, our retired generals are going to talk "negotiated outcome". What else are they going to say? Kill! Kill! Kill! Politicians, ex-generals, media, all saying the stuff they usually say.

I, for one, never said the new equipment would win the war tomorrow. Sure, there's plenty of evidence Russia is winning in the short term. Ukraine though prepared for a small invasion certainly was not prepared for what happened. Therefore, it will take Ukraine at least 3-6 months to prepare properly executed offensive. Also, it takes time for the sanctions to bite and for Russia to keep paying the price as the invader, which is always hard.

I thought the war would end sooner, but that was more hopeful thinking.

There are Ukrainian territorial units who don't want to fight, who are complaining, etc. There's going to be a lot of shit hitting the fan, things going wrong, etc., etc.

But you need to focus on those 260 dead children. Killed by the Russian Army. You need to focus on what civilized society will tolerate, and what it won't. Yoiu need to focus on America's competitiveness and, dare I say that dirty word, pride. You need to focus on Europe seeing refuges that were created by Russia--no one else. (the U.S.? Pulease)

There will be no nuclear war over this.

Putin's regime will end up being replaced, one way or another. Putin has chosen the long slog destruction of his military. Every European who has read any WW history knows that must, will, happen. You want to negotiate by giving Russia Ukraine go see how that flies in Ukraine. So nice of you to give Ukraine to Russa. Go see how your view would fly in Poland if you say they too must be part of Russia if Russia wishes. Or any other country.

Sorry if I got too beligerant here. I'm pissed when I read someon treat Putin as some civilized person runing a civilized government. They're Nazis. Maybe they weren't 20 years ago, but they are now. The evidence is overwhleming.
