I just set up an an M1 mac mini to get some code I have working for Mac users. I was struck by how kiddie like Mac remains. It wasn't easy to create a simple text file in a folder from the finder.

Airdrop, or anything that isn't cross platform easy, is a prison, or walled-in garden at best. One drive works on Mac, does Airdrop work on PC? (even if it did, I probably wouldn't use it here).

As for the iPhone as webcam and launching apps, that's possible in Android too. In general, Mac remains mostly closed off to that cutting edge stuff in my experience. Like OBS, there are things I can do on a PC that can't be done on Mac.

So not Mac bashing here. Just giving my experience trying it once again. It's more like my Chromebooks than PC. I was hoping your story would tell me something I would use. Well, early days on this project! Using Homebrew I was able to quickly get ffmpeg, imagemagick and powershell scripts working. But Homebrew isn't Apple ;)
