I never wanted to not write on Medium. I have complimented Medium 7 days to Sunday, but none of it matters. All thrown out because of something I said which no one will tell me what, exactly. I try every day to be a better human. To help stop the war in Gaza--by writing about it--to be a better human. Unfortunately, some of it is disturbing. I write to an audience that WANTS to read about it. Medium can see the statistics.
I am out in the open. I answer every comment (which should help Medium retain its paid audience). When a nameless person at Medium deletes one of my stories and you threaten to delete me how am I supposed to react? Put yourself in my shoes.
I have never purposely written hate speech. I write to a small audience of people interested in geopolitics, social issues, and some science. Now I need to pull back because I have no idea what would get me deleted. Does that make Medium a better place? Do you really want to stifle expression? Are we better humans if we don't talk about certain subjects?
Well, thank you for engaging this far. I am sorry you are "bowing out" because I don't believe you understand writers like me. We have feelings too. We get hurt too. We don't like being rejected. Getting kicked out of Medium or anywhere else. This stuff IS difficult to write for me. If no one reads it, I wouldn't write it! Why are we evil?
You should try writing some stuff you believe in but understand others will question or even disagree with. You think writers like me don't know what people think? How people will look to report us to the secret police and have us executed in wartime?
Finally, all I said in my article is history might repeat. What happened before 1.) Wealthy Jewish people profiteered off World War I in Germany. 2) Hitler decided the Jews would make a good scapegoat because they were 2nd class citizens so he blamed them for losing WWI to improve his political position. (Yes, that is all horseshit, but that isn't the point here). 3) The Nazis decided to take all Jewish property to appease poor Germans. 4) They had to put them somewhere so they built concentration camps. 5) As the war dragged on and Germany couldn't afford to feed everyone some Nazis decided they could build extermination camps in Poland and kill them all. Contrary to what you may think, part of it was the property grab and simple economic problem of keeping them alive in a war they were losing. 6) After the war, Europe didn't want all the Jewish refugees so part of Israel was simply a way to get rid of them. Sorry, the subject isn't warm and fuzzy.
All that can repeat again. If so, it could take years, decades. One can dispute any or all parts of the above. But I believe NO ONE who has a real interest in this stuff would call it hate speech.
Peace! And THANKS FOR YOUR TIME!
