I once asked a dentist why teeth seems to go bad so quickly and he said it's possible the body isn't meant to last very long. Big question, do eyes as complex as ours survive longer in any other species?

I used to have perfect eyesight. I could see from an inch in front of my face to whatever. It all changed for me in my early 50s. The eye person predicted it perfectly. She said there will be one fall, then another, then they'll stay pretty much the same. that's what happened. I'm 62 and they haven't changed much in 8 years or something like that. I wear reading glasses around my neck. I have far away glasses if I'm driving for a long period or time or going to movies etc.
