I only asked you if you had studies. All you had to answer is it's just your opinion too. The ones I've read (flu based, pre pandemic) have never said they work more than 5-10%.

My mother is in a nursing home. Everyone wears masks. A few months ago Covid spread through the whole building, all the residents caught it. Did masks work? Not that I can see. Most of the residents, like my Mom, are in their bed 99% of the time.

You're very defensive. I understand. I have my anxieties too. If wearing a mask makes you feel better, you should wear it. As I do things that make me feel better but probably do nothing. I probably come across judgmental. Sorry.

I don't believe Asians wear masks because they work but because viruses are more common in that part of the world and they are under constant threat (anxiety). Masks certainly do something (N95 with a completely snug fit. 99% of the people I run into do not wear them in that way and often don't wear N95s to begin with), but mostly they send a social message that we care for one another. That's a whole other can of worms ;)
