I saw what you saw before the invasion; however, I feel most of it has to be thrown out the window because little has gone the way Russia and China expected.

Whatever terms Russia offered coal and wheat to China for, Russia can no longer deliver. Too much destruction. And sanctions will make it more difficult for russia to fix all manner of equipment needed in both ag and energy. Let's see if Putin Kowtows to Beijing in the way China will now expect (because he didn't deliver like he said he would).

The U.S. and China will, if they haven't already, negotiate a deal where China will get what it wants if it stays out of it. China and the U.S. would love to make it a 2-super power world again (this time withoiut Russia).

Putin has the weak hand at the table. China has no love for Russia, none whatsoever in my opinion. Chinese leaders want to send their kids to Harvard or Stanford, not Moscow U. Russia is a backwater to them.

Both Putin and Xi strong-arm their populations with little real fear that it will turn against them. I believe it will. Between Russia and China are hundreds if not thousands of miles of people who HATE both Russia and China.

But hey, it's so complicated and obtuse. Like you, I feel the China (Asian) aspect is huge. Super fascinating for sure! I'm sure we could both write 50 pages!
