I view 10/7 as a kidnapping operation that went sideways. Hamas didn't consider that many groups would cross into Israel with different ideas. They didn't know about the rave party. They might not have calculated the Israel would kill so many of their own with hellfire missiles into fleeing cars. Israel's reacting to its own screwup there by distracting its citizens with all out war.

Nothing goes as planed in these operations. Not for Hamas, not for Israel. "Savages" is what each side's propaganda departments make up--to me.
