I want to believe what you wrote. I'd love to see the Russian leadership replaced. Nonetheless, Lavrov wasn't far off the mark when he said a week or two before the invasion, "this is like a mute person talking to a deaf person."

Russia's demands seemed reasonable to me. To this day I don't know why the U.S. didn't just negotiate close to accepting. Zelensky has all but agree to them now, but the U.S. still won't say it will agree too.

I'm suspicious that there isn't much freedom in Ukraine. Where are the opposition politicians saying Ukraine should surrender? Or those who say they should attack Moscow, whatever. Same in West. Where are those saying NATO should attack? There's so much propaganda it's hard to tell anyone apart.
