I wish it was, then maybe the ideas you and Alan articulated might have that snowball's chance in hell. Instead, we're slowly poisoning ourselves and the land to death. I don't know much about this stuff. But I've always believe Ethanol was an ominous sign of what's to come (and it sounds like you and Alan agree)--quick profits over future resiliency. Here in Cambridge, MA, we have a law against plastic bags yet Trader Joes, if their contents put through some huge blender, would spit out 50% plastic. tons of it. Yogurt cups are made to look bigger than they are (more plastic), just to sell. Everywhere I look, I see mostly the same thing. It's OVERWHELMING! I miss the old hypocrisies. We have them still. But I can't take the fascism from both sides, or whatever you call it. Thanks for letting me vent. And thanks for letting me know I will one day get to eat insects that are molded into shrimp like forms. Can't wait ;)
