I worried this would happen when the wall went up 30 years ago and Israel sent out a steady stream of propaganda that they were treating Palestinians super super well while they were trapped behind a wall with limited means of traveling anywhere.

The number of Jews who warned about where that would lead declined or were marginalized to the point of having no voice at all. After a while, I believed the propaganda myself.
