I'd want to shadow-ban Indi.Ca too. I feel his "White Empire" categorization distorts the issues. Medium, under Stubblebine, removed one of my posts on Jewish issues. I wrote it before Israel leveled Gaza and killed 40,000+, before it killed its own hostages, before it hunted down World Central Kitchen, before it killed kids who picked up pagers, and on and on. My piece explained some of the psychology that is on full display today. I wonder if those at Medium who took down my piece ever think to themselves, "Max saw it coming."

But I'd still want to shadow-bad Indi.ca

I still see Indi.ca stories in my feed even though I stopped following him long ago. So Medium isn't shadow-banning him from me. Why? Because Medium doesn't seem to be politically charging its algorithms. It simply lets stories go to those who seem interested in them. Though I don't want to read Indi.ca anymore, I am still VERY much interested in the stuff he write about. I recognize I am being petty, in not reading him. But there is only so much I can read. I'd rather read you ;)

Tony does warm and fuzzy. He does personal growth. He believes in it, sincerely. He simply can't process what's going on. Can we blame him? As deep as I am into it, and others, I think we were all speechless the day Israel used pagers to kill people. If we can't handle these things, how can we expect Stubblebine to deal with them?

Medium isn't run for you or I. It's run for people who want to find happiness through self-improvement, through writing. We are tolerated--because we're writers too.

About your politics question. It's the same. The rich neighborhood doesn't want to look at the poor one. You try to force them too and they'll find a way to silence you.

But we must try. I do believe Stubblebine listens. I do believe he and his staff care. But like the rest of us, they must get along and the majority won't pay for a deeply politicized Medium. There are other places for that.
