If I called you "presumptuous" to assume x is y and then said you should have done that before hitting the reply button what would your reaction be?
The definition of "presumptuous": (of a person or their behavior) failing to observe the limits of what is permitted or appropriate.
I have no problem with you pointing out a mistake of mine (not that it's fun for me). People do all the time. And normally I would have taken your comment with more humor. However, my comment is about this kind of disrespectful behavior.
As for selling my writing. Although I have worked as a professional in that field I make my living in data analysis. I write because I enjoy it and I believe I help others feel less alone, as I do when I read.
The author of the original post has a lot of talent. Although one can always get a lot of readers by simplifying problems and playing the blame game I would like to see him write better, even if it might cost him some readers.
I also feel the hatred he has is not healthy--for anyone.
But, if that is how he makes his money, then I sympathize with his need to feed his family first.
