I'll try not to make a mini-rant ;) US National Security Interests would be served by looking at REALITY instead holding onto the now delusional believe that F-35s would win a war. If Ukraine can sink Russian ships wherever they are than others can sink US ships. If Ukraine and Russia (and Iran) can both hit targets a thousand miles away then the U.S. can be hit--few American realize that NYC, for example, has virtually NO defense against such an attach.

In short, the only use of ATACMS is in Ukraine. They will not be useful to the U.S. Best to clear them out and rebuild the military for the current reality of warfare. That isn't happening.

I believe Russia will implode economically. But that won't mean the U.S. will swoop in and dictate terms. Ukraine will win DESPITE U.S. "help". And then, who knows, both Ukraine and Europe might agree on this foreign policy...

Keep Russia down and the U.S. out.
