I'm actually not a gold bug. Indeed, I'm a great believer in fiat currencies. They are based on trust and optimism. Gold is based on our basest instincts of hoarding, greed, selfishness, etc.

I was just pointing out Putin could do business with other "base" people using gold. In the end, it will fail. I believe spectacularly. Sadly, it may be decades of world war away. Thanks for the comment!
