I'm always surprised at people who yell at me in a comment about something I've written. I want to answer, "I don't know what’s wrong with the person who wrote this any more than you do."

My read is that Bowie found himself as boring as you did. So he tried various personas to make himself interesting. However, I believe he never became his persona--was never a functional nazi or fascist. He kept the two separate.
