I want you to be right on this. Still early days. Russia can boot them any time because it has no problem shelling any town to rubble. Even its own, if far away from Moscow/St Petersburg. In order for Ukraine to hold that territory it needs to dig trenches, create supply line, move in artillery, etc., etc. In short, open another front. Or extend the current one it is currently on the backfoot on.

I haven't been following this closely. So I really do defer to your judgment. I still feel this is a political ploy for domestic/Western consumption. The idea that it will trade this land during negotiations doesn't make sense to me. But it does makes sense in what you say about doing some maneuver warfare--finally!

Norman Finkelstein called Kamala Harris a moron. I defer to him on that judgement. Which means the same people in the background fighting Russia to the last Ukrainian (if the Dems win). So I'd do what Ukraine did if they saw it that way too. Take the gloves off. As Zelensky said, make all Russians have skin in the game. Ukraine is on its own now. The West is about to forget Ukraine even more than usual and focus on its home prices 24/7.
