I'm trying to live up to one of your dainty misguided readers ;) The U.S. has more racial divisions than you think, and I mean between whites. Putting that aside. Young secular Israelis and Palestinians want the same thing. Go to University, party, get a job, raise a family, etc. The religious on both side want to do their thing and really, are they all that different from each other? It's a long shot, but I'm a fairy, we have these dreams ;)

As for Lebanon. If they had any sense they'd EMBRACE Israel. They too, should want to become part of a federation with Israel. I bet many do. But again, the problems you mention.
