In chess it's difficult to force checkmate on anyone but a really weak opponent. Games can drag on for hours, days!

It's a point I make in one of my other pieces. If Putin was rational he would quit this game. But geopolitics is not chess and if he quits he's politically dead (and everyone around him). So he plays on hoping for some blunders or some great moves of his own.

I have no idea WHEN it will end. I've given up praying for it to be today.
