In The Book of Jonah God doesn't not ask (Jonah, a Jew) to judge who is good or bad (Nineveh). He asks them to go help the city. When the city is saved Jonah is angry because he felt God wasted his time. Then he's angry because God hurt his comfort (plant shade) over the betterment of a city of 120,000
That's how I view many Jews. They pre-judge today's Palestinians as evil. They should do nothing. When God wants to save them he'll save them. Their comfort comes first.
Egypt, Jordan or SA don't make a difference. Many people probably went to Nineveh and told them to change their ways. Yet it was Jonah. Jonah was the one who made a difference. Where is our Jonah, the one who can make a difference to Gaza? Who will do what he does NOT want to do, but feels the commandment of God to do so?
I understand where you're coming from. But I feel it defeatist. If God wanted an army to fix Nineveh it would be "The Book of Jonah's Army".
