In the context of your story, about young men getting whipped into a war frenzy by older men, I don't see how race has anything to do with it. The Congo Wars in Africa certainly weren't Whyte ;) And if you do distinguish one, semantically, as A, it assumes an opposite B'. So white against black?
Race is a convenient ingredient in war. Easy to call the other side "gooks" or whatever, though race really has nothing to do with the conflict. The other thing is, if there is Whyte warfare, it usually DOES include many races. But you won't find other races fighting for China, Japanese or Koreans!
Love the story though. Just a quibble :)
