In the past 6 months it fees like EVs have quadrupled here in Cambridge, MA. There are many Teslas, sure, but I see plenty of others. Ioniq, Rivian, Volvo, BMW., Ford, Lucid, etc. The 3 and the Y are essentially the same car. I don't believe buyers care about efficient of electricity, or range, or safety or FDS. What I see is conspicuous consumption. But if you say that awfully subjective--you're right! I don't know. But if what you say is true why would I see so many other non-Tesla EVs?
I've been hearing about a half-price Tesla since Musk took it over. The 3s ARE going to become that half-price model ;) I just don't believe it will happen while he runs the company. I expect Tesla to be bought in a few years.
But when it comes to Tesla I have a long track record of being wrong!
