Interesting. Your comment is the very reason I was on the fence whether or not to make the reference to "Christians" or not. BTW, I did not say Christianity or Religions. Thanks for the comment because it gives evidence to my suspicious.

For a long time I was against ratings. I saw as you. If you don't want to watch, don't watch. Then I had kids, then there was the internet, and it was almost impossible to prevent them from seeing things I didn't--like full on pornography and graphic violence. But okay, I figured they'd forget it. Did they?

I am NOT religious. BUT, I have read a bit of the bible and studied a bit of theology and certainly philosophy.

When you say Christians are against homosexuality or abortion you are repeating what politicians want you to believe so you vote for them instead of those who "represent" the anti pro choice etc.

You wrote, "If your criticisms are based on religion you have nothing to say to me" Again, they're not, but what if they were? What difference does it make?

You either believe someone who plays a character meant for you to identify with acts according to certain moral beliefs you have or you don't. What do you believe?

The reason Robert King, and many other writers, now have characters say they "like him" is also based on a morality, the morality of nihilism. That whatever you want to feel or think is okay. Wouldn't you rather watch movies that support a morality where you can do whatever you want. That you are the center of the universe, etc.?

Anyway, The Christians I am thinking of are not the ones you're thinking of. They were shouted down and their opinions distorted for political benefits. I had to mention them because they were the only once I saw actually trying to push back on this stuff.

Again, I'm not religious.
