Interesting piece, though depressing of course. Sanctions are not about "price" they are about access to markets and technology. As far as I can tell, Putin can't turn on a computer, let alone use one. He put a complete idiot in charge of the space program. The whole Russian regime lives in a luddite bubble. Of course, I'm not saying Biden can turn on a computer either, but there are people around him who can and who he must listen to.

In the end, France and China will protect their interests in Siberia, etc. Germany will recover. It will be the common Russian, as you say, who will suffer once again. As horrible as Putin is, there's nothing good on the horizon.
